Literacy and Numeracy
Literacy and Numeracy Training (LNT) is a core component of the majority of SAACID's programmes, particularly those with vocational and/or business training attachments.
SAACID's Teacher Training Institute (STTI) for women offers free LNT classes to the community; LNT is a requirement for all women micro-credit clients where needed; and is required for DDR participants going into vocational and business training.
This is in addition to the reading, writing and maths that are of course an integral part of SAACID's early primary school curriculum.
